Weird memory

I have this weird problem.
I’m one of those people that is weird and unbearable for the large number of the population, for the simple fact that,, for example, we forget that we had at breakfast.
With that, obviously, it’s to be understood that I forget things super quickly or a great majority of them.
I mean, for example I see a video on youtube, and the next day I forget about 99% of its content. If you put it again obviously I’ll remember, but until then, there’s very little chance I will.
Obviously, I don’t forget relevant things like family names, etc. But now you get the idea.
So, I want to apologize in advance, if I said something to you or you said something to me, and I can’t seem to remember it. You just have to remind me of some minimal detail about that and I will remember it.
I don’t know if this is normal, but anyway.

  1. I forget the names of people who help me get to a place when I’m confused at campus. When they come up to me after a while and ask "do you remember who I am?" I can’t and I’m sorry for those people, but I can’t remember all, because I’ve been exposed to them for just only once, of course they remember me, because I might be the only blind person that they have seen in their whole life.
    Wierd phenomenon indeed.

  2. Just another thing came to my mind now: Encounter something only once and you will most likely forget, that you actually remember, it. So repeated exposure may be the key to effective and permanent memorization.

  3. if the content is interesting for me i will never forget it, lmfao what i like is that when i am listening a book and falling asleep i will remember next morning how much do i need to change back to find the moment where i fell asleep.

  4. We’re constantly exposed to a vast amount of stimuli and bombarded with new information that we don’t have time to digest. And this is the unsurprising result.
